A sandy beach in Saplunara
Velika Saplunara is one of the two sandy beaches in Saplunara bay.
The area is known for its fine sand, coastal pine trees and preserved
natural surroundings. Saplunara is located on the southeastern part
of Mljet and is outside Mljet National Park.
The wider Saplunara area is protected as an important landscape,
making the beach and its surroundings one of the notable natural
areas on this part of the island.
